  • Seeking qualified candidates for a Full-time Housing Inspector, competitive salary and benefits, position located out offices in East Grand Forks and Mentor, MN. This is a highly responsible and varied position performing specific tasks at the professional level relating to the successful delivery of the Section 8 and Public Housing Rent Subsidy programs, HRA Development, and any other assistance programs which may be implemented. The primary role of the Housing Inspector will be to inspect units and properties under the HRA’s development properties and rent programs in accordance with HUD’s specific inspection standards. Inspection process includes initial inspections, re-inspections and follow up inspections, special, annual & biennial inspections, and writing reports/letters of such inspections and communicating with interested persons.

    High proficiency with MS Office programs (Word, Outlook) and experience in business administration and/or public administration is desired. Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience. Successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work with minimum direct supervision, exhibit the highest standards of professionalism and integrity, and be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Work independently and travel throughout the HRA coverage area, Northwest Minnesota.
