Rent Assistance does not follow the unit, it follows the tenant. Once you have a tenant that has a Voucher for Rent Assistance, we will want to inspect your unit. In order for the tenant to qualify it must meet our inspection and rent standards. You might advertise your unit as “Will accept Rent Assistance” so prospective tenants know you are interested and willing to work with our program.
These vary based on unit size you qualify for and county. Please contact our office.
Once we figure out how much the tenant would pay, the HRA pays the balance of the rent that is agreed upon in the Contract. You will automatically receive the HRA portion on the first of the month.
